This is the motto we follow at Europahaus, and this approach is also the basis for our efforts toward sustainability. We took our first major step in 2023: certification with the Austrian Ecolabel.

After almost a year of intensive examination of the processes in the company and the various departments, we have been officially allowed to use the Austrian Ecolabel as GREEN LOCATION This seal of quality for tourism, gastronomy, and cultural businesses was created in 1996 to demonstrate a company's environmentally conscious management and social responsibility to the outside world. 

We carry the eco-label because we feel a need to set an example for sustainability in the conference industry. We don't just meet selected criteria because they're 'convenient' or 'sound good,' but rather define clear positions. Honesty and reliability are values ​​that we, as Zillertal hosts, also live by in the conference sector. No half measures; our responsibility towards our environment deserves the same passion as our customers!

But we're not satisfied with that; we take many other, smaller steps in our daily work to foster good cooperation. As a public company, we always strive to combine our traditional roots with a broader perspective. We take responsibility and contribute to sustainable development!

Small Steps 

Accessibility

Since its renovation in 2010, Europahaus.Mayrhofen has been wheelchair accessible on all levels. Accessible restrooms are located in the basement. Due to the openness and the fact that no fixed furniture is installed, we are always flexible in the room layout and ensure that every visitor feels comfortable. Our chairs are mobile, and the hall has no dip, so wheelchair spaces are available everywhere.

Green is always better 

Apart from the positive impact on the environment, sustainable alternatives are often not only more practical but also very clear: günstiger! Due to time and money constraints, we have a Drinking fountain system which makes refilling drinks in the seminar room unnecessary.

Each participant receives their personal drinking bottle at registration and can refill our Zillertal mountain spring water directly in the seminar room or in the catering area at any time - since 2020 even contactless! No stress, no broken glass, no mess. And participants have a beautiful souvenir of the event that can continue to accompany them in their everyday lives.

Green Catering 

Our exclusive caterer, Samuel Pinter, always follows the motto: "The way to a meeting at Europahaus is through the stomach." The green and therefore sustainable aspect is also important.
